Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It
Family Promise has teamed up with the national organization, Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It (DHIFI) to offer an essay contest for children in our Family Promise Affiliate programs. DHIFI focuses on “what makes me different, makes me who I am.” They have been featured on The Today Show, Parents Magazine and currently work with Scholastic, the leading educational publisher.
This essay contest is an opportunity for our youngest guests, former guests, as well as any youth volunteers connected to Family Promise to express themselves. The essay should be about celebrating a difference, not necessarily about experiencing homelessness. DHIFI will select ten essays and each winner will receive a $50 gift card. The essays will be published on the DHIFI website during Family Promise Week in October. Essays must be received no later than September 30, 2017, see DHIFI flyer and consent form for more details.
